7-mode/HA pair/V-Series : Diagnostics : Understanding diagnostics and status monitoring : Levels of storage system monitoring

Levels of storage system monitoring
You can use System Manager to monitor storage system health at three levels: for an individual storage system, for a pair of storage systems in an active/active configuration, and for all storage systems that are managed by the application.
Individual storage system monitoring
Each storage system that you add to the list of managed systems has a dashboard display that you can view by clicking the system name in the console tree.
You can also view individual storage system health by viewing the Status column in the Systems window after you click the root-level entry in the console tree.
Changes in individual system status are also indicated by balloon notification messages in the Windows notification area.
Active/active pair monitoring
Each pair of systems in an active/active configuration that you add to the list of managed systems has a dashboard display that you can view by clicking the parent entry for the pair in the console tree.
Overall system health monitoring
The overall health of all managed systems is determined by the worst health condition among all managed storage systems. This status is displayed indicated in the appearance of the notification area icon, which represents all managed storage systems. For example, if the worst problem among all the managed systems is an Error event in one system, that error is indicated by the notification area icon. You can disable or enable the monitoring process.
